For a lighting designer who is truly looking to reach a higher level, this is the course I would recommend. It provides a clear pathway toward creating more thoughtful, intentional and successful lighting designs. The principles Mark teaches give you a stronger understanding of why a design works not simply where to place a fixture. When those principles are put into practice, the result is a better design, a better installation and ultimately a phenomenal experience for the client.

Personally, this course has been another important step in my journey to become the very best lighting designer I can be. Even after many years in this industry, I believe there is always another level to reach and Mark’s course has been the perfect step forward for me. It has challenged the way I look at properties, reinforced some of the things I already believed about great lighting and introduced principles that I know I will continue to reference throughout the rest of my lighting design career.

As far as value, I believe education like this is worth a significant investment. Depending on how the course is structured and delivered, I would personally consider $1,500 to $1,999 a very reasonable price for the level of knowledge, experience and long-term value this training provides. Great lighting design is a journey and Mark’s course has unquestionably helped me move further along that path.

I have had other training courses before, but I have never had formal training like this. Knowing that there are experienced lighting designers that want to share their experience, knowledge and passion for this craft has changed my perspective that we are setting a true standard of design in the low voltage lighting industry.

This education is important to the lighting craft because it separates you from being a light installer into a true lighting designer and an artisan of light. Most fixture peddlers out there have no idea how to develop an actual lighting design. It takes an overall passion for this craft as well as proper composition.

The presentations kept my attention and I learned a lot. I like the visuals and explanations and I truly enjoyed each session. The subject matter is exactly what is needed for designers. It was informational and had great content.
